Studio - Prism Contemporary Summer Show 2021

Five years ago the cultural climate in the North West of England was very different. You could enter an artistic venue and not have the fear of being in large crowds or passing on a virus by means of hugging or shaking hands. 

 

Evidence shows we’re not out of the woods yet but events are still taking place with a clear measure of caution advised. 

 

Prism Contemporary is a Blackburn based venue run by artists, curators and producers. It was established in 2016 and provides a unique space for creative individuals nationally and internationally. It is also an effective research hub and runs a studio complex alongside the gallery. 

 

They pride themselves in supporting existing communities of practice, cultural events and festivals. They have a clear goal to create new and creative partnerships, commissions, exhibitions, events and collaborations that seek to challenge, inspire and engage audiences on a local, national and international level. 

 

Their next event is ‘Studio - Prism Contemporary Summer Show 2021’. It is scheduled to run from Thursday 12th- Monday 23rd August. It will take place at 20, Lord Street West, Blackburn. Expect music, art and refreshments.
