Do you remember when you went to sleep one night and you woke up the next day to a very different world. Let’s face it since March 2020 we’ve all been living an absolute nightmare, it’s been played out on our TV screens and newspapers as a national health crisis and despite being fully vaccinated you still can get the virus. 
 
What if I was to tell you about an event which brings a little normality into your lives. A cast of actors and musicians together for one day is more than just a dream it’s a reality…
 
On Saturday 14th August 2021 you can experience ‘Prestfest For Families’. The fun starts at 12noon and finishes at 4pm. Admission is completely free just get yourself down to the Flag Market in Preston for a great afternoon of entertainment. 
 
Acts confirmed include:-
  • Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp 
  • Party band ‘Boomin’.
  • Lancashire favourites ‘Ska Face’.
  • Chart - toppers Rak-Su
Kemp will be spinning the decks with his cool 80’s tracks. This will keep the party atmosphere going as we all reminisce about our favourite pop decade.
 
Mark Whittle from BID expressed his excitement ahead of this years event,
 
“We can’t wait to welcome families from across Lancashire to Presfest for Families on August 14th. We’ve put together a packed afternoon of free, live entertainment, to ensure people return home for our city centre, following some retail therapy and visit to our event, with a huge smile on their face”.
 
TV regular Sam Thompson who is well known for shows such as Made in Chelsea, The Celebrity Circle and Celebs Go Dating will be the host for afternoon.
