Cinema at The Continental

Last year the UK was inundated with the latest pandemic coverage almost on a fortnightly basis. We all thought it may be a couple of months but it several months soon turned into over a year. The drama played out in our lives and on the small screen. It became a live action movie blockbuster. 

 

Thankfully, most of the tension has died down a little now and you may crave some escapism to keep your sanity in check.

 

Every two weeks comes ‘Cinema at The Continental’. It takes place every other Tuesday with the next featured evening July 13th 2021 from 7pm - 10.10pm. Interested ones should make their way to The Boatyard space. 

 

The movies vary each time and will suit every genre to your taste such as:-

This weeks film is :- ‘This Time Out’ - A group of women take a trip together from their home in Birmingham to the beach resort of Blackpool. The events of the day lead them to a better mutual understanding and solidarity. 

 

Please note:- safety measures will be maintained with hand sanitizer available for use upon entering, staff wearing gloves to handle money transactions and chairs and tables will be socially distanced.

For new arrivals you will need to order your drinks on entry to the pub, letting the waiter know you’re here for the cinema (drinks have to be paid by card)

 

Further drinks throughout the film can be ordered by  the waiter in the bar. The tables are numbered. Drinks will be brought to the foyer. 

 

If you have the Round app or want to download it in advance that’s entirely up to you. If you order from the app during the performance drinks will be brought to the foyer and please leave it a few minutes before you go to collect.

 

Entry to the film is cash only, you will be allocated seats on arrival. 

 

It’s time whisk yourself away for a couple of hours for ‘Cinema at The Continental’.
