Harris Music Live Midday Concert
Dates: 29 Jun 2021 - 29 Jun 2021
Location: St. Georges Church - Preston
You’ve got to admit this last year has been a very testing time for all of us and it appears we’re not completely out of the woods yet. That being the case, wouldn’t it be good if there was a musical sanctuary to escape to from all this madness.
On Wednesday 30th June 2021 ‘Harris Music Live Midday Concert’ is returning to the St. George’s Church in Preston. It will take place between the hour of 1pm till 2pm. Admission is £10 on the door.
This week the musicians billed include flute and guitar duo -Meera Maharaj and James Girling. Supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
Formed in 1964 by staff of the Harris College, they have promoted classical chamber music concerts at midday continuously for more than half a century (Covid year excepted). The College has now morphed into UCLAN, but still retain the original name of Preston's Victorian benefactor Edmund Harris.
The St. Georges Church is located on George’s Road off Lune Street.
