Role playing adventure for the people of Preston

Role playing adventure for the people of Preston

Dates: 16 May 2021 - 20 Jun 2021

Location: Preston

Isolation. It’s an unpleasant word but it’s something we all experienced throughout 2020. You’ve no doubt  been personally affected by the severe measures to cut off the people you  know and love in your life. I’m sure like many you’ve found it difficult but interpreting the ordeal into a positive is the best response to it.

On Monday 17th May an exciting project begins in the city centre of Preston. The People’s Palace of Possibility will be an immersive arts project spanning over a five week period. It will tell a fascinating story through the post, and digital and/or telephone interaction.

Locals are invited to become Palace Citizens in which they will take part in ‘an act of collective imagining and a fight against the belief that change is possible’.

The concept is derived through Derelict and organisers believe this is the perfect antidote to the isolation people had to endure last year.

Interested ones should know that this Friday 7th May is the deadline to sign up. The experience is free but spaces are limited. To find out more simply email - artofthecity@derelictlive.org .
