The Harris Live at Home - One Sided Horse

The Harris Live at Home - One Sided Horse

Dates: 28 Apr 2021 - 28 Apr 2021

Location: Online

So it appears the majority of us have returned to the  current climate of the local pubs. Thankfully the weather has been on our side to enjoy a drink  with friends and family. It could be a while however before we’re allowed to go inside a pub and even longer before we can experience the joy of live music.
It’s fortunate then that many venues are still offering online performances and The Harris Live at Home is no exception. This Thursday 29th April 2021 they are staging - ‘One Sided Horse’.
One Sided Horse is the brain child of Mark Whiteside and is his first solo effort away from the radically different Evil Blizzard where "Side" his singing drummer alter ego haunts audiences from the back of the stage. Here we see Mark move front and centre and with the help of some of his friends, create a new kind of sound.
Mark has shaped a collection of songs which are both haunting and melodic. If you’re a fan of the following three :-
  • The National
  • Nick Cave
  • Tindersticks

Then you will especially love this beautiful set recorded live in the Harris Fine Art gallery. Calming and warm, this is music that you can really relax to.

Mark’s performance is scheduled to run from 7.15pm - 8.15pm online. Tickets cost £5 and you can book your place by visiting :
This Thursday’s set includes new work written over lockdown and Mark's introductions give a thoughtful insight into his musical history and his creative process.
Every month, Harris Live brings you a range of accomplished artists performing a variety of music styles recorded live in the splendid setting of the Grade I listed Harris.
