Kidz4Kidz Virtual Performance Plus 20th Anniversary Details

Dates: 21 Aug 2020 - 21 Aug 2020

Location: Online

Longevity in the workplace is either celebrated by excessive amounts of alcohol at the local pub or the curtain call of one job and the beginning of another.

For almost two decades Ashton based youth theatre group Kidz4Kidz have created some fantastic events all thanks to the self sacrificing spirit of it’s members and the good of the local people.

In 2019 they raised over £2,000 to help young Miley Harris fund her much needed wheelchair. The ultimate performance contributed to the equipment which included donations, raffle and sponsors.

This year however, they are focusing their efforts on raising sufficient funds to mark their 20th anniversary next year, 2021.

Currently they have no choice but to pay their costs without income. Obviously COVID-19 dictates a great deal what they can and cannot do but once they get the green light to return certain measures will be enforced  including the size of rehearsal rooms, floor markings, and cleaning equipment.

A spokesperson said the following in response to the exciting news,

“Next summer is our 20 year show – 20 years of community spirit, of volunteers, parents, and children pulling together to make events happen. We really want this to happen in a good sized theatre.”

The group is also prepared for the need to book a theatre for several evenings which will suit usual audience figures over a series of nights with the same income yet higher outgoings.

The Kidz4Kidz virtual show, The Musicals, will be broadcast on Twitch
( www.twitch.tv/kidz4kidz) this forthcoming  Saturday 22 August from 7.30pm. There will be a pre-show musical film quiz from 7pm to 7.30pm.

A raffle will run alongside the virtual show, and will be drawn live at the end of the evening.

Donations can be made to kidz4kidz2020@gmail.com via PayPal, or on the Kidz4Kidz website ( www.kidz4kidz.co/) using PayPal or card.
