VISION - Blackpool School of Arts - Virtual Exhibition

VISION - Blackpool School of Arts - Virtual Exhibition

Dates: 18 Jun 2020 - 29 Jun 2020

Location: Online

Since lockdown we’ve all had to readjust to the current way of living. Instead of sitting in a relaxing café we’ve had to settle for a take-out coffee. When you would normally sit close to a loved one on a park bench you’ve had to conform to the 2- metres rule. And as a creative person you’ve had to find new ways of sourcing cultural pleasure.

From now until Tuesday 30th June 2020 The Blackpool School of Arts is showcasing - ‘Vision - A Virtual Exhibition’- 12noon online.

This exciting multimedia exhibition comprises several virtual buildings and has been curated and created by Blackpool School of Arts; Aaron Tonks.

The school embeds divergent thinking into the curriculum, developing practical skills and digital competencies for the future. It encourages cross- curricular working and focuses on the potential for discrete disciplines.

The school delivers on it’s promise with three key principles:-
  • Process - Creative thinking from inception to completion. Exploration and application of practical skills and various media
  • Connectivity - Creative connections networking; physical; environmental; industrial and spiritual connections; global interdependency and sustainability.
  • Community - Building creative communities of practice; local; national; international; virtual and physical communities to support inspire and live well.
As an outside visitor to the exhibition you will notice references to the school’s 1930s gallery building. Galleries are labelled to help you easily navigate the exhibition.
