Are you a poet laureate? Perhaps a comic on the quiet. Or even a one man band. Whatever creative talents you possess The Ferret wants to see them come to life in the weekly ‘Open Mic’ slot in Preston.
Situated near the 53 degrees venue and the media factory UCLan, The Ferret has been an established music pub since 2006 and has had some great live acts and thriving performance poets.
Many famous faces in the world of music started out their careers in pubs playing as part of the now credible evening called ‘open mic’. It’s an opportunity to show Preston what you can really do and really get the crowd going in an entertaining and fun way.
Held every Wednesday at 8.30pm and free entry on arrival. Bring your mates and make it a regular feature of your weekly activities. The Ferret’s consistency in keeping the open mic fresh is by having a different host each week, that way is doesn’t get old and stale.
