Ladies Night 'Lion' Film Screening

~Nearly ten years ago Dev Patel starred in a blockbuster hit that made him a credible and noteworthy actor,  that film was ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. Now in 2017 and as an adult Dev has once again struck gold with a film that deals with loss and gain.

Courtesy of The Grand in Clitheroe and Ladies Film Night, ’LION’ is being shown on Tuesday 4th July. It tells the true story of a five year old Indian boy who  gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometres from home. He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia,  25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

A £1.50 booking is applicable per transaction by phone or via our box office. Advance purchase of your ticket will always be more cost effective than paying on the door. Main: Beef brisket and a rich pan jus served with dauphinoise potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Vegetarian: Mushroom wellington served with dauphinoise potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Dessert: Key Lime Pie

Please note: Any dietary requirements need to be advised to Box Office no later that 3 working days prior to the event.

The Grand will open at 7pm with the food being available from 7.20pm. The film will be shown at 8.30pm and is approximately 114 minutes so aim to leave The Grand by 10.30pm. It is a PG certificate film so you can be assured there isn’t any unpleasant scenes. The film also stars antipodean actress Nicole Kidman.
