Join the residents of Leyland and surrounding towns for the Health Mela on 13th September between 11am and 4pm.

There is lots to do at a Health Mela and it is sure to be a great day out for you and all your family. The day will comprise of stalls, free health checks, information, entertainment, activities and refreshments.

Come and take advantage of the wealth of health and social care professionals who will offer you a free health MOT, including blood pressure, cholesterol and BMI. Furthermore, there will be the opportunity to have a free risk assessment, counselling and gain information and advice about various health issues.

There are also lots of great activities for children including a smoothie bike and a bouncy castle.

Also, there will be various forms of entertainment throughout the day courtesy of Worden Academy.

A special guest, Professor John Ashton CBE, President of UK Faculty of Public Health, will also make an appearance on the day.
