Lake District Weekend

Location: Kendal

~There’s nothing more stunning, more picturesque and more calming than the beautiful countryside of the Lake District. If your fortunate to have been  taken there as a child you will appreciate it’s sheer beauty and awe-inspiring greatness that imprints on the minds and hearts that are able to be there.
 

On the weekend of 25th-26th February 2017 UCLAN students are invited to experience the Lake District in all it’s wonder. There will be an overnight stay in Kendal as well as opportunities to walk, climb, socialise and explore Cumbria.

The cost of the overall trip is £35 and that includes accommodation, transport and a UMC recognised instructor for the weekend. It will be a chance to walk up the legendary Scarfell Pike. If your interested you need to be aware of the essential kit list you’ll need to bring :-

- Walking gear (clothes, poles, bags)
- waterproofs
- food and drink (this is not included in the price, the accommodation has a self cateering kitchen)
- climbing gear (harness, helmet, shoes)
- Warm clothing
- sleep wear and sleeping bags

All UMC trips are nonrefundable, you must be a registered UMC member.
