Aestus String Quartet

Dates: 06 Dec 2026 - 06 Dec 2026

Location: Blackburn Museum

A classical concert must have a suitable place to perform. A building with a rich tapestry of history and nostalgia filled with artefacts and an incredible architectural building right in the heart of a town is ideal for a forthcoming winter show.

Aestus String Quartet have been together for the past five years and are known for their beautiful technique with their instruments delivering a performance with genuine feeling.

They’ll be playing some classical pieces for a matinee show on Saturday 5th December 2026 – 3pm at Blackburn Museum. Tickets are available to book from the following website link –

The Blackburn concert follows on from the quartet’s recent residency at the Buxton International Festival, performing in Pauline Viardot’s chamber opera Le dernier sorcier scored for string quartet, piano, harp, and percussion.
