Black Velvet - Guilty Pleasure Rock Indulgence!

Dates: 14 Nov 2026 - 14 Nov 2026

Location: The Continental Pub - South Meadow Lane - Preston

Blue Velvet was a 1951 single sung by the late great Tony Bennett. The song was covered a number of times with a 1963 version by Bobby Vinton reaching number one. Upon hearing it is best described as a slow time pop ballad.

In stark contrast a rock band with the goal of performing all your favourite rock classics under one roof couldn’t be further away from the slow time pop ballad.

Black Velvet – Guilty Pleasure Rock Indulgence! Will take over The Continental Pub – South Meadow Lane – Preston for one night on Friday 13th November 2026 – 8pm -11pm.

It’s a four piece female fronted rock band with music from some of the greatest names in rock spanning many decades and appealing to an appreciative audience.
