30 years ago the first incarnation of Shed Seven proved a winning hit in the Britpop circle. Classic songs became an anthem for a generation.

This November marks three decades since the release of ‘Chasing Rainbows’ a fan favourite at their popular gigs. Although the band received a gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry the song only made it to number 17 on the UK Singles Chart from their then soon to be third album ‘Let It Ride’ released June 1998.

Fans back then often felt they were underrated compared to the big guns at the time such as Oasis, Blur, Pulp and Suede.

Now in 2026 they appear to be achieving the success they talked about in the song, that rainbow has become a reality. In 2024 they secured two number one albums for ‘A Matter of Time’ and ‘Liquid Gold’.

This December they are back on the road with a smart twist on the last month of the year – ‘Shedcember X’ – Monday 16th November 2026 -7pm – Doors – Blackburn King Georges Hall. Tickets are available to book from the following website link –

On the announcement, lead singer Rick Witter says: “We can’t wait to get out there up and down the UK and soak up what is a unique atmosphere at a Shed Seven gig.
