Bands often name themselves after aptly describing their antics before they got signed. ‘You’re a load of nutters you lot’ is what one member of the public clocked as he saw the members of a ska –pop band go about their crazy business. Hence, ‘Madness’ was formed.

Now a film given its full 4K restoration is returning to cinemas 45 years since it was originally released. A very youthful Madness are filmed performing in venues and just having a good time whilst creating a loyal fan-base that have stayed with them these past four decades.

Take It Or Leave It, originally released in 1981, is the highly entertaining and brilliantly nostalgic story of how Madness, one of the most successful and enduring British bands of all time, originally got together.
