'Rooted & Rising' - Youth Poetry & Performance Festival

As a child I remember always asking my parents what word does that mean when they introduced a new word into my vocabulary during teatime. As the years progressed I built up an appreciation of words and as I reached my teenage years I was able to use this knowledge to create poetry.

Investing in young people’s interest in poetry is vital to help them become better communicators as they reach adulthood. Once they have this skill they can gain greater confidence and even perform their poetry at scheduled events.

‘Rooted & Rising’ – Youth Poetry & Performance Festival will take place across various venues and locations throughout Pendle – Lancashire from this Friday 18th – Sunday 20th September 2026. Tickets are available to book from the following website link –
