From The Jam

What a time to be alive – the late 70’s early 80’s. The punk explosion was in full throttle for music  fans prior to the new romantic movement of the 1980’s. One band who were bordering on punk but would probably admit they were more mod, were The Jam.

They only had five golden years and of course frontman Paul Weller went on to form The Style Council and had a successful solo career which he’s still able to do now but he is eternally thankful for his first band that opened the door to the music business.

As part of this year’s Ribble Valley Scooter Rally ‘From the Jam,’ are what’s left of the iconic group. Giving fans the songs they want to hear, performing at The Grand Venue – Clitheroe – Saturday 26th September 2026. Doors – 7pm. Tickets are available to book from the following website link –

Russell and the guys are known for not trying to be like Paul, Bruce and Rick but magically they sound identical and with as much passion as the guys produced in those five years from 77 through to 82.
