How we watch or listen to live music could be challenged in the future especially as many young people download music or listen via a variety of streaming platforms. Many local pubs still host open mic nights and although this may sound like a dying trend it’s the best start any up and coming musician can promote themselves in.

On Tuesday 19th May from 12.30pm – 5pm the 53 Degrees – University of Lancashire – Preston is hosting ‘Lancashire Music Summit 2026’.

It’s a fantastic afternoon to see how collaborative discussion, informed choices and developed ideas can form the future of live music in the Lancashire region.
