40 years ago this April the late legendary David Bowie was part of a British musical film adapted from Colin MacInnes’ book about life in late 1950s London, directed by Julien Temple.

‘Absolute Beginners’ didn’t favour well with the critics but met with joy amongst fans especially for the music.

Following the sad news of David’s passing in 2006 many tribute acts felt only bound to honour the black star by continuing to perform his incredible back catalogue of music.

For two decades now ‘Absolute Bowie – Greatest Hits’ have toured extensively the thin white dukes classic songs. Saturday 13th June 2026 is no exception.  Doors open – 7pm at The Grand Venue – Clitheroe.
