Matilda's Magical Day is a community event being held on one of Preston's most beautiful and well-known parks.

The event is named after a beautiful little girl named Matilda who is five-years-old. Unfortunately, Matilda was diagnosed with the rare genetic condition Battens Disease, which has devestating affects on her young body.

Avenham and Miller Parks host this fun-filled event in support of children living with Batten's Disease and other disabilities, whilst raising awareness of these devestating conditions.

No child should face such hurdles at such a young age but we, as a community, aim to ensure that they know they, and their families, are not alone.

So, please come down to the park on Sunday 10th August and partake in this exciting event. There will be entertainment from local bands, exciting stalls, food and drink, a funfair and a licensed bar. Whether you are 5 or 105, there will be something for you!
