If you’re looking for your mainstream cinema outlet you might as well go to Vue or Odeon. However – ‘Cinema at the Continental’ provides something exceptional. The occasional nod to new blockbusters and cult classics but is also provides a place to watch indie cinema and this is found in 2023’s ‘Fallen Leaves’.

Directed by Aki Kaurismaki this Finland film is set in modern-day Helsinki where two lonely souls in search of love meet by chance in a karaoke bar. However, their path to happiness is beset by obstacles - from lost phone numbers to mistaken addresses, alcoholism, and a charming stray dog.
