When you’ve been a collective force from a previous band going solo can be a brave but sometimes vital chance to improve your performance level. You can even add songs from your current or former band into your live set.

This has proved marvellous for Ian Prowse formerly of the band Amsterdam. Here he is with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra performing the song – 'Does this train stop on Merseyside?’ –
