Two hours can be spent in a variety of ways.

• Watching a movie at your local cinema
• Catching up with old friends over a beer or meal
• Attending an open mic poetry evening

The latter is the subject of this particular blog and it’s taking place very soon.

Damson Poets is returning for a complete evening dedicated to performance poets.  It will take place in the event space / The Boatyard of The Continental Pub – South Meadow Lane –Preston Wednesday 28th January 2026 – 7.30pm- 9.30pm.

There will be a mixture of new and more experienced readers so it’s an evening that belongs to everyone and if you want to listen that’s great as well.

They will start taking names for reading slots from 7-15 pm. Each slot is a maximum of 5 minutes. The start time is 7-30 pm. Free Entry.
