Caving And Climbing Weekend

Location: Yorkshire Dales

~Are you a student with a sense of adventure? Enjoy the great outdoors? Looking for something to challenge and test you? Then look no further than a caving and climbing weekend in the Yorkshire Dales.

It takes place on  Saturday 19th November 2016 with a pick up start of 8am from Whittendale car park. The weekend concludes on the Sunday evening 20th November at 7pm.

A one night accommodation is prepared for interested ones. This includes kitchen and self catering facilities at the 3 peaks bunkhouse.

Here is a ten point list of essentials for this fun packed weekend of adventure :-

1.Sleeping bag
2. Rucksack
3.Sturdy walking shoes and climbing shoes (climbing shoes not essential)
4. Harness and helmet - if you do not have one the club can provide
5. Headtorch - everyone will need a personal one
6.Food and water for the saturday and sunday (2 lunches, 2 evening meals, breakfast etc)
7.Waterproofs
8.Clothes you don’t mind getting messy in the caves
9.Overnight clothes/wash kit
10.Clothes you feel comfortable walking and climbing in

 In addition the activities do depend on the weather so be prepared whatever the forecast.

It’s time to get down and dirty in the cave systems under the Yorkshire dales, and scale some new heights in climbing.
