Five minutes on the microphone is entirely all yours,

The platform is ready they’ve opened the doors.

Words so personal the room is so calm,

Nothing too scary to even cause alarm.

The time has come all at once, once again,

For you to read your work and your five minutes of fame.

Yes Damson Poets is returning to The Boatyard space of The Continental pub – South Meadow Lane – Preston – Wednesday October 29th 2025 – 7.30pm – 9.30pm.

There will be a mixture of new and more experienced readers so it’s an evening that belongs to everyone and if you want to listen that’s great as well.

Names taken for reading slots from 7:15 pm. Each slot is a maximum of 5 minutes. The start time is 7:30 pm. Free Entry.
