Ribble - Snug Sofa Sessions

Location: The Continental - South Meadow Lane - Preston

The River Ribble runs through North Yorkshire and Lancashire in Northern England. It is a calming scene to witness as the river flows gently down- stream and relaxes the mind and body.

In contrast ‘Ribble’ are two northern musicians accompanied with a fiddle, a guitar and a large beard. Yet they have a sound that will turn any river on it’s head. Backed by a 90s drum synth, some mighty arrangements of meaty fiddle tunes then you’ve got any punter wanting more.

These fine musicians have played at –

• Ferally Good
• Wimborne Folkie

 Amongst many other festivals, and have been main support to some serious names on the circuit including Andy Cutting, Mad Dog Mcrea, Man the Lifeboats, Gerry Colvin and many more.

Now they’ve lined up a free gig as part of The Continental’s Snug Sofa Sessions – Wednesday 22nd October 2025 – 7.30pm – 10.30pm.
