Bulb Planting

~It’s that time of the year when the gardening season is wrapping up for the winter, there is however, an important activity that is essential for new plants to come up in spring 2017.

This Saturday 29th October 2016 you can  learn how to plant bulbs courtesy of Ashton Park at Pedders Lane, Ashton, Preston.

Not only will you be adding vibrant colours to the park but you’ll also be responsible for cultivating a good environment for wildlife.

It takes place between 1pm-3pm and cost of admission is free. If your interested you need to meet at the pavilion by the bowling greens this forthcoming Saturday.

I highly recommend this activity as I recently concluded a year volunteering there. The staff are friendly and the tuition is excellent. You will be made welcome and taught some of  the basics in gardening in a calm and peaceful setting.
