It’s that time of the year again when the dark evenings are soon upon us. But it’s also a time of fun such as when a celebrity lights up the annual Blackpool Illuminations for the winter months and children can experience the wonders of the town.

One band which have effortlessly captured this popular seaside town are The Houghton Weavers. Having been established for the past five decades they show no sign of slowing down. Their song ‘Blackpool Belle’ is a timeless classic and has so many references to the town, making it a favourite amongst fans.

Now they are back for a winter tour. They’ll be performing at Darwen Library Theatre on Saturday 29th November 2025 from 7.30pm. Tickets are available to book from the following website link –
