
Dreaming of You - The Making of The Coral Film Screening

Washed up amongst the murky banks of the Liverpool docks came a band that were poised for success. The Coral were formed in 1996 in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside.
It wasn’t until 2002 that their self –titled debut album reached the public domain and received much critical praise. It was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and was listed as the fourth best album of the year by NME.
The third single taken from the album entitled, ‘Dreaming of You’ is just over two minutes of indie pop brilliance. It has both a past and contemporary feel to it. Let’s remind ourselves of it in the following music video –
On Friday 17th October 2025 The Grand Venue – Clitheroe is opening it’s doors to feature an amazing insight into one of music’s greatest bands –‘Dreaming of You – The Making of The Coral Film Screening.’ Doors – 7pm.
There will also be Q&A with members of the band and director James Slater. If you’re a fan of the band this is a definite must to experience how they achieved their dreams and how they kept the dream going.
