Acclaimed film director Steven Spielberg has made some ground-breaking films. He has covered a variety of animals and aliens from Jaws to Jurassic Park and Close Encounters of the Third Kind to E.T. the Extra Terrestrial.

Spielberg drew the story of the film from his parents' divorce.  Gary Arnold of The Washington Post called it "essentially a spiritual autobiography, a portrait of the filmmaker as a typical suburban kid set apart by an uncommonly fervent, mystical imagination."
