Swedish pop group ABBA dominated the charts from 1972 -1982.  Their songs had a joy and melancholy that only their true fans could relate to.

In 2016 Simon Fuller had approached ABBA to consider the idea of using virtual reality ABBA using new technology. By 2018 that concept soon became a reality and the members of ABBA composed two new tracks for their upcoming VOYAGE  avatar tour –‘I still have faith in you’ and the upbeat ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’.

The latter is classic ABBA with piano and harmonising vocals. Take a look at the music video which features archive footage of the band and how they are now at the ending –

The real ABBA may never tour again but the next best thing is a tribute act. Abbamania are performing all the hits on Sunday 2nd November 2025 – 7.30pm at Darwen Library Theatre. Tickets are available to book from the following website link –
