Lancaster Music Festival

~With big cities such as Liverpool and Manchester competing for big music acts you could easily underestimate the power to bring in the crowds for smaller cities such as Preston and Lancaster.

For seven consecutive years though Lancaster Music Festival has brought the masses to fill the city with music lovers who have a real interest in new and developing bands.

The award winning music festival is now in it’s eighth year and will take place from this Thursday 13th October - Monday 17th October 2016.

Over 200 acts are expected to grace the stage across 40 different venues across Lancaster. Outdoor spaces and late night venues are promised.

Almost all except just a couple of the events are free. Lancaster Castle is £1 per session and a weekend pass for the castle is £5. The guitar master class with Menno Gootjes of Focus is £5, and the guitar showcase with Eric Sandiford is free but tickets are needed. Beginning this Thursday and taking us through to next Monday, Lancaster’s Music Festival 2016 is expected to draw in many crowds and will no doubt increase trade throughout the city over the five day period too. Come and support this excellent source of live music in this most unique and picturesque city.
