National Festival of Making 2025

Productivity doesn’t come any brighter than at the very heart of Blackburn town centre. It already boasts a creative college and for the past six years it has hosted an annual event which brings the artistic essence of what Blackburn is really about.

National Festival of Making is returning for it’s seventh consecutive run. Take a look at some of the highlights from last year’s event –

The National Festival of Making is a unique celebration of making, from the kitchen table to the factory floor.

It continues the trend for 2025 presenting a programme of work that combines art, manufacturing, making and communities, we commission international and national artists to create world class works, a year round programme and a participatory FREE FAMILY festival for all to enjoy.
