Definition of a damson – the sour, dark blue fruit of a type of plum tree. In context the application of a ‘Damson Poet’ – would be a sour poet but that’s not what it says on the tin, especially if they’re packed at your local supermarket.
No. A Damson Poet is a brave, modest reader who shares their personal achievements of creative writing to an appreciative audience.
The next scheduled event will take place Wednesday 23rd April 2025 from 7.30pm -9.30pm at The Continental pub – South Meadow Lane – Preston.
As well as the opportunity for new and experienced readers to share their work there is also an allocated time to hear Paul Wilkins candidly talking about his new book.
If you’re thinking of reading, taking names for slots starts at 7.15pm. Each slot is a maximum of 5 minutes. Entrance is free.
