Ocean Colour Scene

Ocean Colour Scene

Dates: 19 Apr 2025 - 19 Apr 2025

Location: Liverpool Guild of Students - 160 Mount Pleasant

It was during the height of Britpop mania when bands distinctive for their indie roots and rock melodies became a collective ensemble which grew an incredible fanbase still talked about 30 years on.

Bands such as Ocean Colour Scene were able to mix influences of old school blues and the swagger of contemporary 90s indie rock.

Their most celebrated album was their second release 1996’s ‘Moseley Shoals’. It reached number two on the UK charts and had a series of hit singles, most notably ‘The Riverboat Song’ which was popularised by presenter Chris Evans on cult show TFI Friday when guests entered to be interviewed.

Let’s remind ourselves what a great song it was in the featured music video –

Now almost three decades later they are back to reclaim their glory and perform that iconic song. They’ll be playing at the Liverpool Guild of Students – 160 Mount Pleasant – Sunday April 20th 2025 from 7pm. Tickets are available to book from the following website link –
