Following the aftermath of Britpop in the 1990s and a new era of guitar driven bands in the 21st century came a comical hard rock act that many couldn’t take seriously, at least at the beginning of their career.

Dubbed, ‘the new Queen’ -English band The Darkness crash landed with their debut album ‘Permission to Land’ in 2003. It was backed by a string of hit singles including ‘Growing on me ,’ ‘Get Your Hands off my Woman’ and ‘Love is only a Feeling’.

But it was their third single ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ which set the tone not just for the album but for their sound as they maintained consistency in the music charts.

Last year it was announced that their eighth studio album ‘Dreams on Toast’ will be released March 2025 and so a tour is an inevitable experience to promote the new album and for fans to hear their classic songs.
