National Festival of Making 2025

It’s hard to imagine brighter days when it’s early January on a cold winter’s weekend. But warmer days will arrive as spring turns to summer, people will be having their car roof off, hosting barbecues and attending annual events.

For the past six years The National Festival of Making has boosted trade and commercial productivity in the town centre of Blackburn – Lancashire.

Individuals and groups of people collaborate to prepare a programme which instills in the mind of the public the concept of making in the artistic realm.

Organisers are pleased to announce that the seventh edition will take place on the weekend of Saturday 5th Sunday 6th July 2025. It always creates a hybrid of activity in the town centre and there is something to enjoy and discover for all ages.
