Prequels and origin stories reveal the history of some of cinemas best loved characters. 30 years ago a classic film was released with some fantastic songs and a story with such emotion and power it had you gripped to the very end.

Now three decades later a new film is released which will focus on one main character and how it came to be such animal royalty.

Directed by Barry Jenkins – ‘Mufasa – The Lion King’ - is currently showing now until Thursday 2nd January 2025 at HOME – Arts Centre – Manchester.
