When Scottish – English rock band Franz Ferdinand burst onto the music scene in 2002 they reintroduced the concept of post-punk into their sound and created quite a wave of interest from fans with songs such their debut release ‘Darts of Pleasure’ and their big commercial breakthrough ‘Take Me Out’.

The latter peaked at number three on the charts and was a notable hit in several other countries which also saw them earn a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. As time passed it became their signature song and was featured on their self –titled first record which won the 2004 Mercury Prize and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album.

Let’s remind ourselves why it was so good –

Twenty years later and they have found a place in music royalty. To honour their longevity the band are performing all the hits and more on Saturday January 11th 2025 7pm -10pm located at Grand Central Hall – 35 Renshaw Street – Liverpool.
