Mothership - Led Zeppelin Tribute

Led Zeppelin were a formidable English rock band throughout the late 60s and 70s. Their music blended heavy, guitar driven sounds drawing influences from their predecessors comprising of blues and folk music.

By 1971 they had already established themselves as one of the biggest rock bands on the planet. It was during this time that they released the second track from their fourth album ‘Led Zeppelin 1V’ .

‘Rock and Rolll’ has since been described as ‘the most dynamic hard-rock song in their music’ by American music critic and journalist Robert Christgau.

By 2007, the band were in a position to release a greatest hits compilation. ‘Mothership’ was a tour de force of their classic numbers.

A tribute act named themselves after this record and rightly so as when they go out on stage they perform all the Led Zep numbers the fans want to hear.
