Family Art Club
Dates: 17 Nov 2024 - 17 Nov 2024
Location: Haworth Art Gallery - Hollins Lane - Accrington
When I was a child in the 1980’s creativity was something that was encouraged. My sister and I used to paint on wet tissues and dry them over the coal fire. It was real and authentic. There were no tablets or mobile phones. We had to use our imagination.
Fast forward four decades later and unless something radical is instilled into our children they will forever be programmed to use electronic devices and their artistic skills may weaken.
Organisers though behind an event taking place this month are hoping that a creative class at a young age may be the ticket out of the internet.
‘Family Art Club’ – Sunday 17th November – 1pm -3pm – Haworth Art Gallery – Hollins Lane– Accrington. This is a free event for children aged 2 and above.
Young ones will learn how to create animal pictures using autumn leaves. This is a self- guided session and all equipment will be provided – no booking required – simply turn up.
This is a family – friendly event designed to bring out the creativity in your child, help them see their potential and give them something to share with their friends and parents.
