Albert Bouchard of Blue Oyster Cult

Dates: 19 Sep 2024 - 19 Sep 2024

Location: The Continental Pub - South Meadow Lane - Preston

Blue Oyster Cult are one of the greatest American hard rock band from the past 60 years. Formed on Long Island, New York, in the hamlet of Stony Brook on 1967. The band have sold 25 million records worldwide, including 7 million in the United States.

Their unique blend of hard rock with psychedelia, mixing the occult with fantastical tongue in cheek lyrics garnered them a loyal and dedicated fan-base but it also inspired the next generation of heavy metal musicians the following decade.

Whilst having a series of classic songs they’ll probably be best remembered for the 1976 hit -  (Don’t Fear) The Reaper which turns 50 in two years’ time.

Let’s remind ourselves of that brilliant track –

Some five decades later and they are still going but it’s founding member Albert Bouchard that is inviting audiences to experience some personal performances of classic Blue Oyster Cult songs plus some stories from his time in the music business.

‘Albert Bouchard of Blue Oyster Cult’ appearing live at The Continental pub – South Meadow Lane – Preston – Thursday September 19th 2024 – 8pm -11pm.
