Clitheroe Clog Fest of Dance

The Ribble Valley is already a vibrant place, with cafes, shops and restaurants and idyllic areas for quiet walks.

But imagine if a series of professional clog dancers came in for just one day, surely that would brighten up the locals and put smiles on everybody’s faces.

Next Saturday 14th September 2024 is the ‘Clitheroe Clog Fest Day of Dance’- 10.30am – 4.15pm. Dancers will jolly their way through Clitheroe Castle, The Market, Holmes Mill and the Park.

Clog maker Phil Howard will be at Clitheroe Castle throughout the day. Phil makes the whole clog, sole and uppers as well as cutting his own shods, heels and brass toe tins so be sure to call in and see some beautiful examples of a traditional British craft.

On display in the Steward's Gallery at Clitheroe Castle will be the museum's latest free exhibition dedicated to clogs.
