Earth Prayers with Carol Ann Duffy

The world is in a terrible place. Never before have we seen the sheer negligence of planet earth. Seasons have no longer become seasons and horrific weather patterns are taking place on an unprecedented scale.

It needs healing. Despite what you might think, words can have a powerful effect on helping the world come to some kind of restoration. It needs a little poetic licence to put the band aid on nature’s catastrophic warfare.

As part of Manchester Literature Festival 2024 we welcome ‘Earth Prayers with Carol Ann Duffy’ – Saturday 19th October 3pm – HOME – Arts Centre – Manchester.

Carol has been at the forefront of the poetry world for the best part of 40 years and now turns attention to the crisis happening in the natural world- a world that is vastly deteriorating on a yearly basis.
