When something is affirmative you know it is definitely going to happen. Take a band like ‘Yes’ – their positive prog rock masterpieces have spanned over 50 years creating sonic epic driven songs that sound contemporary now as they did when they were originally released.
Formed in London in 1968 by lead singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye and drummer Bill Bruford the band are still writing, recording and performing to the present day.
The 1983 album ‘90125’ – their highest selling album featured the U.S. number one single ‘Owner of a Lonely Heart’ – take a look at the 6 minute music video here –
Almost 10 years earlier the band released their seventh studio album – 1974’s ‘Relayer’. It received mixed reviews amongst music critics but fans hail it as one of their classics.
YES – are soon to hit the road performing their greatest hits and songs from the album ‘Relayer’. They’ll be playing at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall – Hope Street – Sunday May 26th 2024 from 8pm.

The band’s latest release was the May 2023 album ‘Mirror to the Sky’. In January of this year the band confirmed they are working on the follow up to their 2023 record.
It’s so inspiring that veterans of music are still producing music. Why? Because it’s in their blood and they are simply born to do it.
