In the modern era electronic devices are stifling the minds of young creative people. They appear to be glued to a screen blocking out any scope or opportunity to be a creative person.

There is an annual summer event taking place in Blackburn very soon which may open the door and provide inspiration for the future artistic individuals.

‘National Festival of Making 2024’ returns on the weekend of Saturday 6th -7th July in the town centre of Blackburn – Lancashire.

Best described as ‘a unique celebration of making, from the kitchen floor to the factory floor’- come along and experience a variety of designs free for all the family to enjoy.

The National Festival of Making returns to Blackburn on the first weekend in July with lots of exciting art, craft, making, and musical activities and opportunities to enjoy.
