Cloudbusting - The Music of Kate - The Line, The Cross and The Curve

Dates: 28 May 2024 - 28 May 2024

Location: Blackburn King George's Hall

On 30th July 1958 a baby was born – Catherine Bush. As an adult she became better known as the ethereal singer, songwriter, record producer and dancer – Kate Bush.

It was during the mid 70’s that she began her musical career and it was a career that was to continue for the better part of five decades.

This was thanks to a series of finely crafted tunes that had that magic bush touch. Songs such as –

  • The Man with a Child in his Eyes
  • Babooshka
  • Running Up that Hill

The latter single was a critical and commercial success in 1985 and in 2022 nearly 40 years after it’s first release it experienced something of a renaissance period thanks to it being featured in the fourth season of the Netflix series Stranger Things.

Let’s rewind the clock to the mid 80’s and enjoy ‘Running up that Hill’

The Blackburn King George’s Hall may not have the popular songstress but they do have ‘Cloudbusting – The Music of Kate – The Line, The Cross and the Curve’ – Wednesday 29th May 2024 – 7.30pm start.
