This October marks 25 years since the cult classic ‘Fight Club’ was released. There are so many immortal lines and the story is so complex yet compelling and it remains one the most controversial films to mark the end of the last century.

‘Cinema at The Continental’ on South Meadow Lane Preston is a fortnightly film club taking place in the dedicated event space, ‘The Boatyard’. This club has a series of rules much like Fight Club, the difference being you’re less likely to get a shining bruise above your eye.

They read as follows –

The choice of films on offer will be as varied as the drinks available in the bar. For the first screening the film has been selected, but subsequently they will be using a vote system that gives you the choice of three films, the film with the highest amount of votes is then selected for the next screening! Expect a diverse array of films on offer, old favourites, hidden gems, cult classics and recent releases. They would also be delighted to hear of any recommendations you may have!

The next screening is this coming Tuesday 27th February 2024. 7pm doors open for a 7.30pm start. Club Subs/Entry is just £3.00 (cash on the door)
