Born from the wreckage of former band The La’s, Liverpudlian group Cast kicked off their career in 1992.  They were part of the Britpop movement of the mid – 90’s and their debut album 1995’s ‘All Change’ went on to become the highest selling debut album for the label, Polydor Records.

A series of hit singles were released from their first record –

• Finetime
• Alright
• Walkaway
• Sandstorm

At the time of it’s release critics hailed the band for creating songs of anthemic positivity and exuberant delivery.

‘Sandstorm’ was the third single to be released and peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart in January 1996. 28 years later it still has that magic touch that made the Britpop period so exciting..........

They’ll also be promoting their upcoming seventh studio album to be released 16th February 2024. ‘Love is the Call’ is best described as the missing link between frontman John Power’s time in The La’s and Cast’s debut ‘All Change’.
